Safe{Wallet} adds native swaps in new integrated DeFi game

On, the leading smart account infrastructure, announced the introduction of native swaps. This new native token swap functionality integrates the CoW protocol and is directly integrated with the world’s most widely used multisig wallet, Safe{Wallet}. In partnership with Cow ProtocolThis integration leverages the advanced aggregation and intent-based architecture of the CoW protocol to access a vast pool of liquidity on decentralized exchanges, providing Safe{Wallet} users with low prices and a wide selection of tokens for transparent transactions on the CoW protocol.

Safe{Wallet}’s impressive trading volume – an average of 450 million dollars per month since June 2023 and nearly $1 billion in March alone – highlights the immense demand for seamless asset trading within the Safe community. Over the past three years, a total of $23 billion in swap volume has been made easier thanks to Safe Smart accounts.

Previously, Safe{Wallet} users wishing to exchange tokens had to access external websites. The built-in swaps functionality significantly improves the user experience, fetching quotes from multiple decentralized liquidity sources to ensure users get what they want at low prices by directly interacting with the CoW protocol via Safe{Wallet}.

The feature leverages an intent-based trading mechanism that supports batch execution and minimizes the likelihood of errors or timeouts common with multi-signature transactions. This ensures that Safe signers benefit from greater accuracy, peace of mind and a simplified token swap experience with MEV protection.

The current market cycle presents a potential tipping point for smart accounts to overtake traditional external accounts (EOA) as the preferred solution in Web3. Safe is at the forefront of this transition, demonstrating sustained ecosystem growth. Based on a community vote, the SECURE Token was made transferable by Safe{DAO} recently.

“Native token swaps are a game-changer for Safe{Wallet} users, prioritizing seamless experiences and MEV protection through intent-based architecture,” said Safe co-founder, Lucas Schor.

“Security is the safest way to own assets,” added Anna Georges, Co-founder of CoW Protocol. “We share the Safe team’s vision for transparent and reliable transactions. Our collaboration streamlines the exchange process for Safe{Wallet}’s vast user base while contributing to the continued growth of the CoW protocol ecosystem.
