Speaking to Fox Business reporter Liz Claman, Garlinghouse increased his optimism that an XRP ETF would soon arrive. He explained how the Spot Ethereum ETF opened the door for future ETFs around other assets like XRP. The SEC’s losing battle against cryptocurrency. Speaking about how the SEC could make it difficult for Ripple to fight for an XRP ETF, Garlinghouse emphatically stated: “An XRP ETF is simply inevitable. As for the timeline, he said: “I think we will see it in 2025.”
“People don’t just want exposure to one product,” Garlinghouse said. He added that it “makes complete sense” to add more commodities to the market to give investors more trading options. Therefore, XRP could be a new competitor to ETH and BTC ETFs in the market, as well as digital assets from Solana and Cardano.
Furthermore, Brad Garlinghouse also mentioned that “XRP was once the second most valuable digital asset.” The rise of cryptocurrencies in recent years has resulted in healthy competition for Ripple’s digital assets.

How will Ripple XRP ETFs affect the price of the asset?
Previously, Garlinghouse had said that if the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) approves one ETF, it will be difficult for the financial watchdog to reject others. He is not the first to share this optimistic outlook on a potential Ripple XRP ETF. Former Ripple executive Sean McBride also said earlier this year that we could see an XRP ETF in 2024 or 2025. Now, the Ripple Labs CEO is adding another spark to that fire.
XRP has been stagnant over the past month, with little movement beyond the $0.55 threshold. However, the development of the Ripple XRP ETF is currently being described as “huge” for the token, which is struggling to gain traction on all possible fronts. While Ethereum ETFs were recently approved, echoes of XRP ETFs are strong, urging Ripple to anticipate considerable price action soon.

From the first applications of Spot XRP ETFs, the price of XRP is expected to increase, with the milestone of $1 potentially being achieved. Following the news regarding the Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs at their respective times, each of these assets rose in value, with Bitcoin exploding to all-time highs following the ETF’s approval in January. The exact value that XRP could reach after the first ETF application is unclear, but it is certain that the price will skyrocket.
