Niaz Morshed Elite, Executive Director of Nagad Ltd., a leading MFS operator and the fastest unicorn in Bangladesh, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on FinTech and Digital Payments at the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services.

This prestigious appointment reflects Nagad’s pivotal role in Bangladesh’s fintech and digital payments landscape. With Niaz Morshed Elite’s vast experience and innovative vision, the committee is poised to drive significant advancements in the ICT sector, a press release on Tuesday said.

As Chair, Niaz Morshed Elite will have the opportunity to lead initiatives to promote innovation and simplify digital payment systems, influence crucial decisions and inspire committee members.

The standing committee will emphasize addressing regulatory challenges, promoting the adoption of digital payment solutions, and supporting the growth of fintech startups.
