GoTo Launches Dira, AI-Powered FinTech Voice Assistant in Indonesia

GoTo Group, the Indonesian digital group ecosystemofficially unveiled GoTo AI, a long-term artificial intelligence (AI) innovation program that will develop and integrate the latest AI technologies across the entire GoTo ecosystem.
The announcement comes as the company launches “Dira by GoTo AI,” the first AI-enabled operating system Financial Technology voice assistant in Bahasa Indonesia. Dira is currently accessible on the GoPay app for a limited number of users and will be further implemented before being made available on the Gojek app in the future.

Dira by GoTo AI offers a localized voice assistant solution that not only benefits our users, but also paves the way for more AI capabilities in the GoTo ecosystem in the future.”
Dira, short for Dikte Suara (voice dictation), is designed to improve the overall user experience. It allows users to discover the features of the GoPay app more easily and perform various tasks faster using voice commands in Bahasa Indonesia.
Hans added: “The GoPay app was designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind, in line with our mission to provide financial services to Indonesians at all levels of society, including the country’s 97 million unbanked adults. Today, we are taking simplicity and accessibility to the next level with the introduction of Dira on the GoPay app, an AI-powered voice assistant in Indonesia’s fintech industry.”
Dira improves the user experience through simplicity and accessibility in the following ways:
Users can accomplish the same tasks with fewer steps. For example, accessing the “insurance bills” page to make payments for Social Health Insurance (BPJS) typically requires three clicks and a few scrolls. With Dira, this same page can be reached in one step via voice command. Dira also simplifies navigation within the GoPay app, allowing users to discover new features and functions more efficiently by eliminating the need to manually type or search.
Dira will make the benefits of AI more widely accessible as it does not significantly increase the size of the lightweight GoPay app, meaning it can be used on all types of mobile phones, including those with limited capacity, at no cost.
