First Bitcoin ETF to list on the Australian Stock Exchange during the Global Wave
An exchange-traded fund investing directly in Bitcoin will be listed on Australia’s main stock market for the first time, part of a flurry of such launches after similar products began trading in the United States and Hong Kong.
Exchange Operator ASX Ltd. approved the VanEck Bitcoin ETF for a start on Thursday, the exchange and asset manager said. A spokesperson for the ASX – which handles the bulk of Australian share trading – said VanEck was the only applicant so far to get the green light and engagement was ongoing with others transmitters.
