Fintech Evertec acquires Zunify – LatamList
Fintech Evertec acquired Zunifythe largest QR code payment network in Costa Rica. Under the agreement, Evertec will assume the customer portfolio, financial authorizations and license to use Zunify technology in Costa Rica.
With the acquisition, Evertec intends to strengthen its position in the Costa Rican digital payments market.
“Evertec’s expertise and support will benefit our users through expanded and automated services, as well as greater integration with financial institutions and online retailers,” he said Juan MongeCEO of Zunify.
Zunify’s solution enables mobile payments at physical stores via QR codes, e-commerce stores and remote payments.
Currently, 1300 stores sell via the Zunify app.
