Danske Bank collaborates with United Fintech

Danske Bank collaborated with Fintech United to improve their exposure to innovative solutions and contribute to the advancement of the fintech ecosystem.

As part of the financing agreement, Danske Bank secures a rotating board seat within United Fintech, allowing for direct involvement in setting the strategic direction of the platform.

Danske Bank highlighted the importance of this investment in aligning with the bank’s Forward ’28 strategy, particularly in areas such as corporate banking, capital markets, wealth management and API integrations. Bank officials commented that Danske Bank sees great opportunities both in collaboration within the existing ecosystem of fintech companies, but also in being closer to future fintech investment processes and decisions, where the partnership allows Danske Bank to expand your exposure to innovative solutions, benefiting our value proposition for customers.

United Fintech has expanded its portfolio by acquiring five fintech companies, comprising a workforce of more than 160 people across eight countries. Companies integrated into the United Fintech ecosystem include Cobalt, FairXchange, TTMZero, Athena Systems and NetDania, underscoring the company’s commitment to driving innovation and collaboration in the financial services industry.

United Fintech officials commented that by joining forces with Danske Bank and other banking partners, the foundation is being laid for a new era in banking where fintech moves beyond traditional silos to push the sector into the digital age .

Other recent announcements from Dankse Bank

In March 2024, Dankse Bank announced its partnership with Amazon Web Services to invest in cloud technology and provide customers with new digital solutions. Following this announcement, Danske Bank signed a multi-year agreement with Amazon Web Services as part of its Forward’28 strategy. Furthermore, in order for the strategic objective to be achieved, further investments were made in digitalisation and the development of cloud technology. Both Danske Bank and Amazon Web Services were intended to focus on meeting the needs, preferences and demands of customers and consumers in an ever-changing industry, while remaining compliant with industry laws and regulatory requirements.

In January 2024, the bank an agreement was made with Backbase to access the latter’s Engagement Banking Platform and improve the customer experience. Through this collaboration, Danske Bank has gained access to Backbase’s Engagement Banking platform, which is expected to gradually roll out across its digital channels over the next few years. The agreement also supports the bank in providing its customers with an improved digital experience and advanced solutions.
