Charleston to Host Financial Education Workshop for Young Adults

CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – The City of Charleston will offer a series of financial empowerment workshops for youth and adults beginning in July.
Officials say the workshop will be conducted virtually over Zoom, focusing on creating a spending budget and savings plan. Participants will be provided with examples and resources to ensure they are equipped to replicate these efforts on their own.
The City of Charleston has partnered with Bank On Charleston to ensure these workshops provide young people with the knowledge they need to take control of their financial future.
The first workshop will be on Thursday, July 11th, from 10am to 11am.
The other two workshops scheduled for July 18 and 25 will cover credit building, investing and saving for retirement.
