Brian Dykes named UPS CFO

UPS announced the appointment of Brian Dykes as executive vice president and chief financial officer on Tuesday.
Dykes will begin his new role immediately, according to a Press release of the Atlanta-based company. He will also lead UPS’s global finance organization, which includes planning, treasury, tax, financial reporting, financial operations and investor relations.
Dykes, 46, has spent more than 25 years at UPS. He most recently served as senior vice president of global finance and planning, a role he began in April 2023. Prior to that, Dykes served in roles of increasing responsibility across the company’s finance and accounting, corporate treasury, mergers and acquisitions, business intelligence and business development functions. He has worked with UPS in the U.S. and internationally.
“I am thrilled to name Brian as our next CFO,” CEO Carol B. Tomé said in the statement. “Brian’s experience makes him exceptionally qualified. The Board and I are confident that Brian’s financial and business acumen, honed in a variety of strategic leadership roles at UPS throughout his career, make him the best person to lead our global finance function as we execute our Better and Bolder strategy to drive shareholder value.”
Dykes succeeds Brian Newman in the role of CFO. Newman stepped down on June 1. for health reasons. Newman was named CFO in 2019, succeeding Richard Peretz.
