Bunch, a Berlin-based FinTech company that is transforming private markets, has successfully completed its $15.5 million Series A. The round is led by global investor FinTech Collective, and existing investors, including Cherry Ventures and Motive Ventures, are doubling down.
Founded in late 2021, Bunch is an end-to-end platform that enables funds and investors to seamlessly and securely operate, administer and transact within private markets. Its data-centric approach helps GPs and LPs save time, money and mental energy by reducing complexity and replacing legacy providers with technology, as Bunch leverages automation and AI workflows extensively.
Private markets are experiencing unprecedented growth, with alternative assets expected to reach nearly $40 trillion by the end of the decade. With more investors pushing to participate in private markets, this rapid expansion has created an urgent need for modernization in the industry’s workflow infrastructure and data management systems.
“Our Series A funding will accelerate Bunch’s mission to bring this trillion-dollar industry into the 21st century by driving a much-needed digital transformation. We are thrilled to have true private market experts as investors supporting our vision to transform the space and are excited to bring our innovative solutions to more investors in Europe and beyond,” he said. Enrico Ohnemüller, co-founder of Bunch.
Over the past two years, leading fund managers and institutional LPs from across Europe and the world have collectively committed over €2 billion through the Bunch platform.
The round of funding was attended by leading private market experts, such as Broadhaven Ventures and TinyVC of Philipp Moehring, former head of AngelList Europe, as well as angel investors, including founders and executives of Klarna, Moonfare and Kinnevik.
With this new funding, the German firm plans to accelerate its growth by expanding into new asset classes and geographies, with a focus on the UK market and private equity clients. Bunch will also invest in enhancing its platform capabilities, providing more insights to professional LPs through digital analytics, and expanding its team of FinTech and investment experts.
