Australian firm DigitalX to launch spot Bitcoin ETFs on the ASX
(Reuters) – Australian company DigitalX said on Tuesday it has received approval to list its bitcoin spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) on the Australian Stock Exchange.
The ETF will operate under the ASX ticker BTXX and will begin trading on Friday, according to a press release.
K2 Asset Management will act as the issuer of the ETF and digital asset manager 3iQ will promote and distribute the ETF domestically and internationally.
“Our offering will enable Australians to invest in Bitcoin, without the hassle of managing digital wallets, in a cost-effective and secure way,” DigitalX chief executive Lisa Wade said in the statement.
