Artesanal Spirits Company celebrates several awards
Artisanal Spirits Company, owner of whiskey brands including The Scotch Malt Whiskey Society (SMWS), has received recognition at major international spirits competitions in 2024.
SMWS alone secured a record six gold and one silver medals at the International Spirits Challenge, eight medals at the Scotch Whiskey Masters and further recognition at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the International Wine and Spirits Competition.
The company’s gold-winning entries included barrel #36.220: from raisins to resins and barrel #42.85: a mug of hot miso.
The company’s other brands also shone, with JG Thomson securing five medals at the Global Spirits Masters and the recently acquired Single Cask Nation (SCN) being named 2024 Independent Bottler of the Year by World of Whiskies. SCN has also won awards at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the Las Vegas Spirits Awards.
