Andrew Morrison Launches Business Sales Readiness Consulting
Edinburgh-based entrepreneur Andrew Morrison has launched his new business, Business Sale Basecamp, a consultancy that aims to help business owners prepare their businesses for sale.
Drawing on his own experience selling his multi-million pound company, AM Bid, the former IoD Scotland Director of the Year offers tailored support, from mentoring and auditing to due diligence preparation. His extensive network of over 20,000 business contacts further enhances the service.
“I launched AM Bid, scaled it, prepared it for sale and had a successful exit and would like to help others do something similar,” he said.
“Without advertising the business for sale, I had four approaches from companies wanting to buy the business, and three offers. Navigating this has given me additional experience that I can bring to the table to help business owners determine the right value for their company,” he added.
“In addition, my nearly 20 years of experience in procurement and proposal management encompassed many due diligence processes and expertise in presenting a company in the best possible light.”
“Most homeowners think about selling at some point, but they don’t know how to prepare,” Morrison explained. “It’s unfamiliar territory for many business owners because they haven’t been down this path before.”
He concluded: “That’s where the concept of base camp came from – getting assistance to finish the journey from someone who has been there before and completed it successfully.”
