And finally… a lot to learn
A construction company has been ordered to demolish a luxury home it inadvertently built on the wrong site.
The three-bedroom home, valued at $500,000 (around £400,000), was built in Hawaiian Paradise Park, which is split into several one-acre lots.
PJ’s Construction inadvertently built the property on a lot adjacent to the intended one, and the problem was only discovered after it was sold.
The developer later offered to swap the lots or sell the house to the owner at a discount, but the owner declined both options.
Anne Reynolds purchased the one-acre lot in 2018 to host meditative healing retreats for women and said the lot she chose had “a sacredness… [and] all the right qualities.”
A judge ordered the house to be demolished, but said the land does not need to be restored to its original condition, Hawaii News Now reports.
