Ally Financial Launches New US Women’s Open Fan Experiences Designed to Elevate Women’s Golf | Golf news and tourist information
After announcing a partnership with the USGA, Ally Financial continues to deliver on its promise to invest in women’s sports with the launch of three new fan experiences at the 2024 US Women’s Open.
“The women’s sports product is not only good, it’s been good for decades,” says Stephanie Marciano, head of sports and entertainment marketing at Ally Financial. “And we as an industry are finally reaching the moment.”
During Wednesday’s practice round, Ally Financial hosted “Golf with US,” a women’s golf clinic where local college athletes received golf instruction from the Lancaster Country Club coaching staff. In addition to receiving professional training, the athletes also met women who made golf an added value in their lives.
“Think about the amount of business that takes place on the golf course,” says Marciano. “We want to put golf clubs in the hands of these athletes in hopes that it will help them advance in their professional careers.”
Ally also launched a new free game in partnership with the USGA called “Fantasy Flip,” which can be found in the USGA app. In the game, fans build their own teams by opening player packs. Each player receives points based on their performance in the event and fans who score the most points will win prizes, including two tickets to the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open at Erin Hills and USGA store gift cards.
While the experience is being rolled out for the US Women’s Open, it will be available for fans to play during other USGA Championship events.
And for all the players, Ally is also activating in Fortnite for the tournament. With help from the USGA, Ally created an immersive golf-related experience at the Ally Arena in Fortnite. Based on the concept of “The Ultimate Golf Speed Run,” players will race through a challenging course filled with golf-related obstacles and players with the fastest times will have the chance to win cash prizes. The experience is scheduled to be launched Thursday, during the first round of the competition.
