Grouse Lettings, a residential property management and lettings company, has expanded its property portfolio by 295% following two acquisitions.
The Aberdeen company has acquired Babs Buglass Leasing and the long-term leasing side of the PMC Property business. The combined value of the deals is six figures.
Babs Buglass, founder and director of her leasing company, will join the Grouse Lettings team. Having sold the residential rental part of the business, Neale Bissetco-president and Simon Hudsonmanaging director, has exited the long-term rental sector to focus on PMC Property’s factoring and short-term rental division.
The deals mean Grouse Lettings’ portfolio of managed properties increases from 71 to 281 – an increase of 295%. Grouse Lettings will now process annual rentals of £2.4 million.
Ross Watt, managing director of Grouse Lettings, said: “We are delighted to have made these acquisitions. The addition of Babs brings a wealth of knowledge to our team and we are excited to have her on board. Neale, Simon and Babs were excellent to work with during the acquisition process.
“We see a significant opportunity to improve the service provided to landlords and tenants. These acquisitions mark an exciting new chapter for Grouse Lettings as we aim to take the business to the next level with our customer-focused approach. We wouldn’t rule out further acquisitions in the Aberdeen area.”
Grouse Lettings has a landlord portal to keep landlords informed and up to date. It also offers virtual tours of residential properties, as well as evening and weekend viewings. Watt, who has almost 20 years of senior-level experience in the property management and lettings sector, founded Grouse Lettings in 2020 as a part-time venture. Earlier this year he stepped down as shareholder and commercial director at Newton Property Management to focus on Grouse Lettings.
Grouse Lettings has an office in Queen’s Terrace, and the lettings operations of PMC Property, based in Oldmeldrum, and Babs Buglass Leasing, in Westhill, will now be managed from the West End site. Grouse Lettings manages residential properties for rent in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Angus.
