A former wealth management executive has just joined Revolut and is hiring

Revolution recently announced that it had reached the milestone of 10,000 employees. A small minority of these are in New York, but Revolut is New York continues to grow. His latest hire doesn’t just have executive experience in fintechbut in asset management.

Kris Huennekens joined Revolut yesterday as head of credit card lending at fintech Petal, where he has been chief credit officer and head of growth for the past two years. The New York-based company was recently acquired by Empower Finance, and Fortune reports that only 80 of its staffers will make the leap with it.

Prior to Petal, Huennekens was a senior vice president at Bayview Resource Management. At the Florida firm, he worked in non-mortgage consumer lending. He also spent nearly 14 years at Capital One, where he was most recently director of business analytics for U.S. Card Loss Mitigation.

Revolution wants 11,500 employees by the end of the year and the Huennekens team will play an important role in achieving this goal. He put out an open call for employees with card or lending experience and said his team will “build a new business.”
